Olgun Simsek is a Turkish actor born 1 June 1971 in Bursa, Turkey. He is of Alevi Kurdish descent from Bingöl and Sunni Turkmen descent from Bursa. Simsek graduated from İstanbul University State Conservatory and began acting professionally in 1993. He has appeared in numerous films and television series, including “Otogargara,” “Yedi Numara,” “Beşik Kertmesi,” “Alacakaranlık,” and “Yazı Tura.” His role in “Yazı Tura” earned him numerous awards, including the Golden Orange for Best Actor and Best Actor awards at the Ankara Film Festival, Istanbul Film Festival, Adana Golden Coccoon Festival, and SİYAD awards.
