Jun Kunimura, born on November 15, 1955, is a Japanese actor with an extensive career in Japan, Hollywood, and Hong Kong. Born in Kumamoto Prefecture and raised in Hyōgo and Osaka, he graduated from a theatre program in Osaka. Influenced by actor Yūsaku Matsuda, Kunimura began his acting career in 1973 with a role in Tidal Wave and later appeared in TV dramas and films. He gained international fame through roles in films like Hard Boiled and Black Rain, and worked with directors like Ridley Scott, Quentin Tarantino, and Takashi Miike. In 2016, his role in the South Korean film The Wailing earned him critical acclaim and awards, making him the first non-Korean actor to win at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.

“Sunny” is an American black comedy television series created by Katie Robbins, based on the novel “The Dark Manual” by Irish writer Colin O’Sullivan.
