Synopsis
The film follows the story of Moke Munger (Josh Brolin), a reformed criminal who is now living a quiet life with his wife Abby (Taylour Paige). Having put his days of heists and shady deals behind him, Moke is enjoying a peaceful life, far removed from his troubled past. However, his twin brother Jady Munger (Peter Dinklage), who never quite embraced a straight-and-narrow path, comes crashing back into Moke’s life with a wild proposition: one last heist.
Jady’s request puts Moke in a moral quandary—should he risk his newfound stability for his brother, or refuse and leave Jady to deal with the consequences on his own? As the brothers reconnect, old family tensions resurface, especially with their mother Cath Munger (Glenn Close), whose past misdeeds play a pivotal role in their lives. Meanwhile, Farful (Brendan Fraser), a correctional officer whose father is Judge Farful (M. Emmet Walsh), becomes intertwined in the brothers’ scheme, adding further complications to the already high-stakes situation.
As the plot unfolds, Brothers delivers a mix of humor, action, and heartfelt moments as the two siblings navigate their complicated relationship while facing life-or-death situations. The film’s comedic tone is driven by the witty banter between the brothers, while the action sequences provide adrenaline-pumping moments as Moke and Jady’s plan spirals out of control.
